Learning outcome
Students are to
- Acquire basic ideas and theorems of the theory.
- Master the standard methods for analysing and operating with scalar functions and vector functions in one or more variables.
- Be able to use this knowledge and these skills when solving simple applied problems.
- The teaching consists of lectures and calculation exercises.
- An assistant teacher is present during all the exercise lessons. The students can either contact the teacher in his office, by telephone or by e-mail.
- MATH111, INF120 or INF100.
- Written examination: 3.5 hours.
One written exam Grading: Letter grades Permitted aids: B2 Calculator handed out, other aids as specified - The external and internal examiner jointly prepare the exam questions and the correction manual. The external examiner reviews the internal examiner's examination results by correcting a random sample of candidate's exams as a calibration according to the Department's guidelines for examination markings.
