The course will have a strong foundation with examples from real projects.

Knowledge:

  • Broad knowledge of the uncertainty dimension in projects, including decision-making under uncertainty.
  • Insight into current methods and tools for uncertainty analysis and management; theory and practical application.

  • Can use relevant uncertainty analysis tools and techniques.
  • Can interpret uncertainty analysis results and reports.

General Competence:

  • Can conduct uncertainty analyses of varied projects alone and as a participant in a group.
  • Learning activities
    Practical examples in combination with theory will be emphasized. Student teams conduct several assignments that are related to the themes of the lecture.
  • Prerequisites
    IND200 or equivalent project management courses
  • Assessment method
    Written exam, 3 hours (60 %) and one semester project counting 40%.

  • Examiner scheme
    External examiner participates together with ineranl examiner in the design of the exam questions.
  • Mandatory activity
    2 assignments. All must be passed.
