About this course

The quality control term, functional security and reliability, durability calculations, robust design and process control. The 7 quality tools, control diagrams, capability, cooperation and total quality management.

Learning outcome

Having passed the course, students will have key knowledge of the main principles of quality control and assurance. They will also be able to use important methods and procedures for quality control and quality improvement.
  • The learning process consists of a combination of lectures, discussions and project tasks with homework.
  • The responsible teacher is available for guidance and support in working hours, and can also be reached by e-mail for questions.
  • Final written examination, 3 hours.
  • The external and internal examiner jointly prepare the exam questions and the correction manual. The external examiner reviews the internal examiner's examination results by correcting a random sample of candidate¿s exams as a calibration according to the Department's guidelines for examination markings.
