Nominal workload:Totally 250 hours. Workshops: 3 gatherings of 3-4 days = 50 hours. Preparation and following up work of the workshops including e-learning, self study and exam: 200 hours.

About this course

The course provides an introduction into social and psychological factors and mechanisms that influences health, such stress and coping, psychosocial factors in work, subjective health complaints, marginalisation and sick leave, social support, and social capital.

Learning outcome

After finishing the course the student should be able to understand the complex connection between psychosocial factors and health. The student should be able to use relevant tools in order to map and measure psychological- and social factors.
