Course contents:
The course provides an introduction into structural and individual factors such as legislation and organization of health services and public health, work environment, psychology and social factors for determining health.
Learning outcome:
After finishing the course the student should be able to understand the complex connection between humans and the environment, and how this in term affects the health. The student should be able to use relevant tools in order to map and measure psychological- and social factors.
Learning activities:
Lectures, seminars, e-learning and self study.
Teaching support:
Teachers are available at the workshops and through Canvas.
Syllabus:
An overview of literature will be available upon the start of the course.

FHV330
Recommended prerequisites:
None.
Assessment:
Oral exam.
Nominal workload:
Totally 300 hours. Workshops: 20 h * 5 weeks = 100 hours. Preparation and following up work of the workshops including e-learning, self study and exam: 200 hours.
Entrance requirements:
Minimum requirements for entrance to higher education in Norway (generell studiekompetanse).
Reduction of credits:
Complete overlap with the course FMI313
Type of course:
The subject is based on weekly intensive workshops. Approx. 3-4 workshops (lectures and seminars).
