The course will cover the following: Methodological project work including planning, implementation and/or evaluation of intervention based on health promoting occupation commisioned by stakeholders in the community. Introduction to relevant theory and methods.
The course aims to provide students with knowledge, skills and competence in planning, implementing and evaluating programs based on health promoting activity. They will have developed skills in project report writing and oral presentation of scientific data to the general public.
Lectures, seminars, supervision and self study will support the work with a term paper/group work. Students skills are assessed through the semester assignment.
Teachers are available at the workshops and through Fronter.
Scientific articles and books. An overview of literature will be available upon the start of the course.
FHV200/FHV330, UMB-VIT/MAFOLK4100 (HiOA) og UMB-FORSK/MAFOLK4000 (HiOA).
Implementation of a practical project. The exam is a written report based on the practical project delivered in groups. Mandatory activities are in addition key lectures connected to the project work, group supervision and oral presentation.
The term paper (written project report) counts 100%.
A total of 300 hours. Workshops: 30 h * 2 weeks = 60 hours. Preparation and following up work of the workshops including self study: 110 hours. Term paper: 130 hours.

The course is based on weekly intensive workshops. Approx. 2 weeks full time (lectures, seminars and group supervision).
Note that this is not a course offered in the August block. Classes start in August but the course is completed in the autumn parallel.
An external examiner approves the criteria for the project report.
