Course contents:
The course consists of two parts one that deals with the basic structure and functions of plants and one developmental physiological part on the responses of plants to environmental factors. The experimental nature of the field is illustrated by practical laboratory experiments related to different parts of the course and also by practice in reporting experimental results.
Learning outcome:
The course gives an introduction to central topics in plant physiology. Knowledge and understanding of the structure and functions of plants and the responses of plants to environmental factors are emphasised. The course also provides experience in practical experiments, presentations and discussions of experimental results, application of methods and terminology in the field as well as cooperation within groups.
Learning activities:
The course includes lectures and laboratory work with the writing of reports. Exercises related to central parts are available.

Recommended prerequisites:
KJM100.
Mandatory activity:
Approved laboratory course with approved participation and approved reports.

Work corresponding to 150 hours.

Lectures: 26 hours. Laboratory course: 12 hours. In addition, repetition classes are given.

The examiner contributes with a discussion of the examination problems and evaluation of these.
