Course contents:

Architectural and environmental design of buildings with medium complexity. The course sets a special focus on building with massive wooden elements (CLT).

Based on the courses Architecture and Sustainability I and II the focus shifts to complex projects, for example a multi-family housing project. Central elements of the course will be site analysis, architectural concept, sustainable design and detailing. The course teaches basic knowledge of the Norwegian building code (TEK17) with special focus on universal design. The course is based on practical experience in  CAD-programs (f.eks. ArchiCAD) which is subject of earlier courses (ARK110).

Learning outcome:
The course will teach the students to design an architectural project of medium complexity based on site analysis, program and principles of sustainability.
Learning activities:
Lectures, practical assignments, supervised project-work in groups and project presentation.

Supervision in groups is given in the scheduled ours.
