Course contents:
Through lectures, literature studies and discussions with practice field, the students will get an overview of actors, institutions and policy guidelines for planning and implementation of public transport. Topics that will be included in teaching are principles for coordinated land use and transport, travel behavior and modal split, route planning and transport structure, including the societal role of mobility.
Learning outcome:
The course provides a basic introduction to the planning of sustainable mobility with emphasis on public transport and active forms of transport. Students will gain insight and overview of the various forms and strategies to plan and implement a sustainable mobility. Students will be able to create a strategy for the implementation of sustainable mobility. The course will also provide some introduction to tender description / ordering skills.
