The Career Day on 2 September 2026 is an event for veterinary, veterinary nursing and PhD students at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine.

The Norwegian Veterinary Association’s student organization, in collaboration with NMBU Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, invites all our students to Career Day on 2 September from 10:00 to 16:00. The event gives students the opportunity to meet representatives from various companies and organisations, listen to inspiring talks, and establish valuable connections with potential employers.

Please register by Friday, 28 August at 15:00.

Exciting companies and future employers will host stands in the foyer, and two parallel lecture sessions are planned for veterinary students and PhD candidates. Please see the programme at the bottom of the page.

The sessions for veterinary students will focus on the various career opportunities available to veterinarians and will be delivered by the Norwegian Veterinary Association’s specialist groups. A more detailed programme will be published soon.

The sessions for our PhD candidates will focus on career paths after completing the doctoral degree. We have invited former PhD candidates to share their experiences and reflections on their career choices and development, and we have also invited other relevant and inspiring speakers who can offer insights, tips, and advice on transitioning into working life and further career opportunities.

The foyer in Hippocampus at the Veterinary Building will be filled with companies hosting stands, where you can meet future employers, enjoy giveaways, take part in competitions with prizes, and get free food.
