Master’s students in Circular Urban Agriculture, Angelika and Inger-Helene, have completed an internship with the organization Pådriv this semester, where they gained experience with hands-on project work, collaboration with various stakeholders, and turning ideas into concrete activities.
Angelika Magdalena Cylwa and Inger Helene G. Grøtterud have, during the past six months of their internship, contributed to daily operations and several projects at Pådriv. Pådriv is a non-profit organization working towards a future that takes care of people, animals, and nature.
They achieve this by bringing together residents, municipalities, organizations, and businesses to develop solutions to local challenges.
Angelika found that being in environments where Angelika worked, among other things, with communication and took part in facilitation (making it possible for groups of people to achieve a common goal) and in sparring sessions in various processes.
She found that being in environments where discussions actually impact people and places is very different from discussing theories in an academic setting. She also experienced that her perspectives and questions were well received and could be valuable.
Inger Helene worked with projects in Søndre and at Ellingsrud, where she participated in meetings, planned gatherings, and mapped the outcomes of the work.
This provided her with experience in facilitation, analysis, and methods. She now has a much better understanding of collaboration and societal development, and has become more confident in her own skills.
