About

Kiel is a port city with approximately 250.000 inhabitants north in Germany and the capital of the state Schleswig-Holstein. For a long time it was the home of the main German naval base as such Christian-Albrechts-Univerität zu Kiel has strong ties to marine topics. The university has over 22.000 students, a dynamic campus life and is only a short walk away from the sea.

    1 to 2 semester.

  • Who can apply

    For all Erasmus agreements it is necessary to have attained 60 credits on your current NMBU program before commencing on an exchange study abroad.

  • Language of Instruction

    German and English. 

  • Semester timing

    Fall semester: October - February.
    Spring semester: April - March.

  • Tuition fees

    Erasmus students must continue to pay for NMBU’s semester fees, plus register with NMBU whilst they are on exchange. However, it is not necessary to pay any types of fee at the partner university.

  • Housing

    Exchange students can apply to the university for student accommodation. Housing
