Researchers from the robotics group participate in a number of groundbreaking research projects within precision agriculture and food production. The group is known for developing the autonomous agricultural robot Thorvald.
The RoBUTCHER team has released its dataset on pork sectioning. It comprises a set of container files called “Bag Files” in which every file includes 30 colour images, 30 depth images, and colour and depth sensors information.
The work entitled “Vibration Measurement as Feedback from a Pneumatic Knife” authored by Dmytro Romanov, Luis Eduardo Cordova-Lopez, Olga Korostynska and Alex Mason was presented at 14th International Conference of Sensing Technology by Dmytro Romanov. The conference was organized by Indian Institute of Technology Madras in Chennai, India and held virtually due to travel restrictions.
