Researchers from the robotics group participate in a number of groundbreaking research projects within precision agriculture and food production. The group is known for developing the autonomous agricultural robot Thorvald.
After some pauses due to COVID-19, workshops in the RoBUTCHER project were able to continue, demonstrating some of the key developments going on in the project, including advancement with the core infrastructure, gripping, cutting and AI sub-systems.
The team working on Food Automation @ NMBU REALTEK were proud to be involved in the European Robotics Forum (ERF) on 13-15 April 2021. Our workshop proposal, a collaboration between NMBU and our partners at Óbuda University in Hungary, focussed mainly on the areas of Agri-food, Robotics and Artificial Intelligence (AI).
