I obtained a Ph.D. in neurosciences in 2015 for my work on the dopaminergic inhibitory system controlling the reproductive function in zebrafish. Currently, I work on the reproductive physiology in fish, as a neuroendocrinologist in the group of Finn-Arne Weltzien. I study and characterize the gonadotopes cells in the pituitary looking at the ontogeny, plasticity and cell communication as well as the effect of some environmental factors on their activity. For this purpose, I mostly use fluorescent in situ hybridization, immunofluorescence, ELISA and confocal imaging techniques, and the Atlantic salmon and the medaka as model animals.
