24 years of research/ teaching/supervision and international collaboration experiences at NMBU and internationally in diverse environmental and development issues in a inter and multidisciplinary framework issues mainly focussed on ecological and socio-economic issues influencing the environment and global changes. The specific topics covered are anthropogenic influences in soil water and air, land use and changes, carbon dynamics, land degradation, system analyses, environmental education, conflict, peace and development, wisdom and personal transformation relevant for ecosystem management, global change and development. Field research experiences from Europe, Asia (Nepal, India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Indonesia and Afghanistan), Africa (Ethiopia, Kenya, Tanzania, Malawi) and Western Balkans through interdisciplinary research projects, and, through institutional collaboration, educational program and networking with national and international organization. Diverse leadership experiences including administrative and institutional collaboration experiences including project coordination, contract management, financial management, project development, follow up of agreements, meetings, action plan, reporting and networking. Developed educational program and course curricula and created several educational documentary films. Wider public engagements/social work as President /Co-Chair of social/ charity organisation (NRNA and IAHV) with extensive delivery of public talks with media coverage.

    Innovations in teaching and learning through contextualized approaches to increase the quality, relevance and sustainability of education in Nepal
    In line with the recently adopted Global Goals for Sustainable Development, this project aims to catalyze improvements in the quality of teaching and learning, leading to improved educational and health outcomes at the basic education level in Nepal through innovative, transformative and contextualized pedagogical approaches.

    Strengthening research, education and advocacy in conflict, peace and development studies in Nepal, Sri Lanka and Pakistan
    Considering the wider context in the respective countries and overall in the South Asia region, this project aims to develop required human resource in the field of conflict, peace, and development studies in the partner countries to contribute to establishing democratic peace and promote the notion of economic governance in the region.

    Sustainable natural resource management for climate change adaptation in the Himalayan region: A collaborative project among Norway, Nepal, Pakistan and Bhutan
    The main goal of the project is to enhance higher education and research capacity related to climate change, natural resource management and environment in a coordinated network of four universities in South Asia.

    Forest and Soil Restoration and Land Use Change Impacts on Carbon Pools an Fluxes in the Himalaya: Research and capacity building in Nepal
    The project aims at analyzing effects of forest restoration and alternative land uses on forest and soil carbon pools, fluxes and sequestration. The research will explore the potentials for supporting climate change adaptive strategies of rural communities in Nepal.

    Scaling Out Legume-based Integrated Soil Fertility Management (ISFM) Approaches to Improve Crop Resilience to Drought
    The main goal of this project is evaluate best fit intergrated soil fertility management (ISFM) technologies for climate change adaptation and to generate and empower extension service workers and famers to use simple decision making tools in packing context-specific ISFM technologies.
