About this course
Learning outcome
Knowledge:
The course provides knowledge and understanding of the structure and function of plants at different developmental stages. The course also provides knowledge about responses of plants to climatic and environmental factors and how these affect the metabolism and growth-regulating mechanisms of plants.
Skills:
Students receive training in conducting practical experiments that include both growth experiments and selected analyses in the laboratory. Students also receive training in presenting and discussing experimental results and practice in the use of concepts and methods as well as collaboration in groups.
General competence:
Students will gain knowledge of key topics in plant physiology, both the general metabolism of plants and how internal and external factors regulate plant growth and development.
- The course includes lectures with associated exercises that require the students' own effort. The course also includes student-active work with compulsory laboratory exercises with associated report writing.
