Course contents: Crucial topics are: The character of nature-based tourism and outdoor recreation in Norway. Tourism management in protected areas. Environmental challenges, eco-tourism, nature interpretation, business certification schemes. Cultural heritage and tourism. The market for nature-based tourism. An excursion and the undertaking of a project exercise (term paper) are included in the course.

Project paper (counts 40%) and oral exam (counts 60%). All of the evaluated elements in the course must be passed to pass the course.
