About this course

The course consists of

Theme group 1: Management of learning-processes - management of learning- and development in individual and group perspectives

Theme group 2: The school in the society - management of learning- and development in an organisational and societal perspectives

The main emphasis in this course is on theme group 1, but both theme groups are included in the course.

Topics: Planning, implementing and assessing teaching based on didactical and pedagogical principles, theories and experiences. Informal and formal assessment. Inductive learning and experiential learning. Analysis of qualifications as the basis for teaching and learning. General direction of professional studies. Use of nature and accociated education seen in societal perspectives. Entrepeneurship and development projects. Learning outcome

The students shall be able to implement, support and justify teaching with the help of didactical principles, experiences and theories.
  • Learning activities
    The course is practice-based in that reflections and theory is closely tied to school/vocational-practice. The course requires collaboration between students and it is supported by online rescourses.

    The students will be supervised in the compulsory activities and co-operate in groups.

  • Prerequisites
    The requirement for taking the course is teaching competence in the vocational Programme of Agriculture, Fishery and Forestry in upper secondary school.

  • About use of AI

    K3 - Full use of AI. Use of AI is permitted, but must be in line with the guidelines for the use of artificial intelligence (AI) at NMBU.

    The student must justify why AI has been used and explain the contribution of AI and clarify the KI-generated material used in mandatory work requirements. Furthermore, the student will discuss how the use of AI contributes to there own academic pedagogical and didactic development and understanding. KI can also be used in preparations for oral exams, but not during the exam itself. If AI has been used in preparation for the exam, the student must explain how and why.

  • Examiner scheme
    An external examiner approves the examination scheme and assesses the oral examination.
  • Mandatory activity

    Two assignments in subject vocational pedagogic and didactics.

    The course consists of four gatherings of one week in Autumn parallell, three gatherings in Spring parallell, altogether 7 gatherings.
