The course starts with guest lecturers from public natural resource management and leaders of relevant research projects. Work on the semester assignments starts immediately. Presentation of semester assignments takes place in the last half of the course period. Discussion groups are arranged based on the availability of time. Independent study takes place throughout the entire course.
Lectures are given by invited professionals within each topic of discussion. In addition, there is 1 semester assignment, discussion groups and individual studies.
Students are assisted by staff in preparation of semester assignments.

Oral presentation of the semester thesis and 1-2 scientific articles
Oral examination (30 minutes), 6/10. Term paper, 4/10. Both of the evaluated elements in the course must be passed to pass the course.
Lectures: 18 hours. Student lectures/seminars/lab.work: 20 hours. The students" own effort - preparation for seminars and own presentations, writing of semester assignment, reading for exam: 260 hours.
