About this course
Linear algebra (joint with MATH113): Systems of linear equations, Gauss elimination, inverse matrices, determinants, bases, eigenvalues and eigenvectors
Learning outcome
Students are to
- acquire basic ideas and theorems of the theory
- master the standard methods in linear algebra
- be able to use this knowledge and these skills when solving simple applied problems.
- The teaching consists of lectures, calculation exercises and weekly practice examples
- An assistant teacher is present during all the exercise lessons. The students can either contact the teacher in his office, by telephone or by e-mail.
- MATH100
- Written examination: 3.5 hours
- The external and internal examiner jointly prepare the exam questions and the correction manual. The external examiner reviews the internal examiner's examination results by correcting a random sample of candidate's exams as a calibration according to the Department's guidelines for examination markings.

- Lectures: 4 hours pr. week (first half of the fall semester). Exercises: 2 hours pr. week (first half of the fall semester)
- MATH113 or MATH130: 5 credits (ie, the student receives no credit for this course)
