Course contents:
Introduction to inbreeding, Phenomenon associated with inbreeding, Relationships, Genetic contributions, Minimizing inbreeding, Inbreeding and selection, Contribution of mating to managing inbreeding, Quantitative genetics guide to DNA markers, Using DNA markers in diversity studies, Constructing IBD matrices and their use, Managing inbreeding within genomes.
Learning outcome:
To present a unified approach to the management of inbreeding, providing supporting concepts with practical tools.
