Tomasz Mroz, Faculty of Biosciences (BIOVIT) will defend his PhD thesis “Grain yield in Norwegian spring wheat: past, present, and future. Historical genetic gains, their genetic basis, and prospects of future improvement using phenomics " on 24 May 2023.  

Norwegian title of thesis:
"Avlingsframgangen i norsk vårhvete: fortid, nåtid og framtid. Historisk framgang, genetisk grunnlag og nye muligheter med fenotypingsteknologier"

Prescribed subject of the trial lecture:
“The importance of crop simulation models to identify targets for cereal breeding to meet future climate-change challenges for northern regions”
