Course contents:
Four seminars will be given: I: history of urbanisation of Norway II: Buildingtypology and history of architecture III: International urban ideals IV: The growth of town and regional planning in Norway
Learning outcome:
The course gives basic historical knowledge of importance to practice in town and regional planning. The students will gain an overwiev of urbanisation in Norway, insight in the history of architecture, they will learn about international urban planning theories and ideals and the growth of the disiplin in Norway.
