EU: HORIZON-EIC-2021-PATHFINDEROPEN
EU Green Deal strategy and Climate Mitigation mission requires application of radically newtechnologies non existing yet on the market. The EIC Pathfinder call goes beyond what is already known and welcomes the high-risk / high gain and interdisciplinary cutting-edgescience collaborations that underpin technological breakthroughs.
We are proud to share, that the visionary ideawhich was built by four partners: prof. Morten Sørlie (Norwegian University of Life Science, Norway), prof. Anton Glieder (Technical University GRAZ, Austria), prof. Tomasz Borowski (ICSC PAS, Poland) and dr hab. Artur Góra (Silesian University of Technology, Poland) was found as one of the outstanding ideas (or ranked in top 10 of 859 submitted proposals) proposed during first edition of the EIC Pathfinder Open 2021 Call.
NewCat projects was inspired by nature and aims to provide a universal platform facilitating organic synthesis via clean, organic solvent free and low energy consumption processes. The required knowledge is granted by combination of the state-of-the-art experimental and computational methods in areas of protein engineering, enzyme catalysis, nanomaterials and large-scale protein production delivered by partners of the consortium.
The project will start in the middle of the 2022 and aims to validate its pioneering idea by 2025.
