VR-Lab has successfully secured a grant of 1 MNOK as part of strategic funds for advanced scientific equipment at NMBU.

We are happy to announce that VR-Lab has successfully secured a grant of 1 MNOK as part of strategic funds for advanced scientific equipment. This achievement marks a significant milestone in our journey towards enhancing research and educational capabilities within our virtual reality ecosystem.

The application for this funding was meticulously prepared and submitted to the NMBU Research Committee by the end of 2023, with a specific focus on upgrading our projection system here at the VR-Lab. Our proposal received priority from the Faculty of LANDSAM, underscoring the importance and potential impact of this project.

The infusion of funds will empower us to implement a cutting-edge projection system, aligning our infrastructure with the latest advancements in visual technology. This upgrade will revolutionize both education and research endeavors, enabling seamless communication and interaction within planning and design scenarios.

Furthermore, the enhanced projection system will significantly augment the flexibility and usability of the VR-Lab across various research environments. This means that not only will our own endeavors benefit, but also numerous other research initiatives will have access to our state-of-the-art facilities, fostering collaboration and innovation.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the Faculty of LANDSAM and the NMBU Research Committee for their recognition and support of our vision. This investment underscores their commitment to advancing scientific excellence and technological innovation.
