Exchange opportunities in Slovakia

NMBU has one partner university in Slovakia.

Slovakia is a charming small country with wonderful scenery and about 5,4 million inhabitants. The country became an independent state in 1993 when Czechoslovakia was dissolved. Since then, the country has been a stable democracy with great economic growth.

NMBU has an agreement with the Slovak University of Agriculture in Nitra, a town with approximately 80 000 inhabitants, 95km from the capital Bratislava.

  • Erasmus+

The agreement covers subjects at all levels relating to agriculture, chemistry, biotechnology, food science and landscape architecture.

  • For all Erasmus agreements it is necessary to have attained 60 credits on your current NMBU program before commencing on an exchange study abroad.

  • Two students, two semesters.

  • Slovakian and English

  • Autumn semester: September - January.
    Spring semester: February - June.

  • Erasmus students must continue to pay for NMBU’s semester fees, plus register with NMBU whilst they are on exchange. However, it is not necessary to pay any types of fee at the partner university.
