Sarah Ephrida Tione

Sarah Ephrida Tione holds a PhD in Economics from NMBU with a focus on resource economics. She also holds a Master in Agricultural and Applied Economics (2011) focusing on agricultural policy and marketing obtained from the University of Malawi, under the Collaborative Master of Science in Agricultural and Applied Economics in Africa (CMAAE).

Her research focus is on land markets, governance of agricultural land, agricultural markets, and policy analysis in Sub-Saharan Africa. Currently, she is a postdoc research fellow under the Experiments for Climate Smart Agriculture (SMARTEX) project. This is a collaborative project between the Norwegian University of Life Sciences (School of Economics and Business) and the Lilongwe University of Agriculture and Natural Resources (LUANAR) in Malawi with funding from NORHED. 

Sarah Ephrida Tione is a member of the Centre for Land Tenure Studies at NMBU.
