I am a veterinarian doing a Ph. D. in fish orthopedics. I study fish bones and muscle physiology in order to fix health problems such as "dark spots" in the Atlantic salmon fillet, the largest quality issue in salmon farming. I focus on biomechanics and medical imaging, from X-rays to histology.

I started my scientific career assessing glyphosate toxicity in zebrafish embryos. During my master's, I specialized in fish nutrition, quality, and aquaculture engineering, designing methods for evaluating pigmentation in the skin and muscles of Atlantic salmon.
