Night trek for the UN Sustainable Development Goals

The World's Most Beautiful Night Trek comes to Ås 

Vitenparken, Ås municipality and NMBU will organize a night walk on Friday 11 October at. 1800-2100. The event will focus on UN’s Sustainable Development Goals and research at NMBU.

The event starts with appeals on Friday October 11th at 1800 at Ås City Hall.


1800 Welcome and appeals from “Miljøagentene”  Torje Tungesvik Gilbert and Melina Gyberg, chair of the Student Parliament Tord Hauge from NMBU and mayor of Ås Ola Nordal.

1815 Practical info

1820 The march goes up to NMBU through Fløy 1 at the TF building, the Biotechnology Building and “Vitenparken”. Both students and staff at NMBU and Vitenparken contribute to various items with a focus on UN's sustainability goals and NMBU's research.

You will be able to meet the robot Thorvald, see fox migration in Ås, learn about how food waste becomes biogas and urban gardens to name a few. In addition, dedicated students and student associations will present UN’s Sustainable Development Goals and issues they are passionate about.

The event is an alcohol-free event.

We recommend that you bring:

  • Headlamp / flashlight
  • Warm and waterproof clothing
