Week 32
International students are invited to participate in the Introduction Week for international students from 8th of August 2022 to 13th of August 2022. Academic Welcome is on 15th of August 2022.
Monday 15 of August - introduction day
The introduction day will be with studentes at The Faculty of Bioscience ( BIOVIT).

The Academic Welcoming will be at Vitenparken.
Monday 29 of August
Monday August 29th at 13:00 there will be a digital introduction meeting with AQFood-students and teachers at partner universities NTNU and UoI. Here we will guide you through the programme, give you information about the mandatory exchange and the courses. The meeting will be at teams: Click here to join the meeting.
From September and throughout December you will attend to following e-courses:
- AQF 200: Primary Production - Aquaculture and Fisheries (7,5 ects)
- AQF 210: Aquatic Food Processing and Technology (7,5 ects)
- AQF 220: Safety and Human Health Effects of Aquatic Food (7,5 ects)
- AQF 231: Marine Resources, Research and innovation (7,5 ects)
All these courses will be e-learning and you will get access to material in first week of September through the e-learning platform. Invitation to this will come by mail. You will find more information about the courses here: Course search | NMBU.
You also need to take the course AQT 254: Basic Aquaculture Engineering (5 ects) which also start in September. If you are at NMBU we recommend following this in the classroom together with the classmates but we will also organize a system so it is possible to follow the course as e-learning (as recordings).
If you are at NMBU we also recommend also to take the course AQT 251: Laboratory Course in International Aquaculture (5 ects). This is practical course where you get hands on experience.
