Goal
- Support research and education at the School of Landscape Architecture (ILA) with relevant theoretical knowledge.
The aim of this discussion group is to share knowledge about landscape theory, including history, in order to update the current curricula in ILA so it can stay relevant and compete with the latest theoretical developments in landscape architecture.
Objectives
- Review the current theoretical contributions
- Address the suitable theoretical contributions according to all stages of education (i.e. from year one to master’s level)
- Develop a draft programme according to points A and B to present to all ILA staff members
- Develop a draft programme for the theory requirement for the forthcoming programme of Master's of Landscape Architecture in a Global Context
- Keep updated with latest theoretical developments in LA through attending international conferences and networking
- Review any new relevant books that should be recommended to be purchased by NMBU library
