Ph.D Writing Webinar
Topic - The Narrative Structure for Kappe Writing
Part 4 of 4 in our Article-based Ph.D webinar series
Few guidelines exist for structuring and writing a Kappe. As if a Kappe was not difficult enough, unclear or unavailable guidelines to support writing a Kappe and forming a Narrative can leave many Ph.Ds feeling stranded. This webinar focuses on practical approaches to organizing, structuring, and developing a strong narrative and format for the Kappe. We will share important structural elements to help you control your ideas and present your research with a clear purpose and direction. In addition, we will present two models - the sandwich model and the two-part model - to clarify ways to organize and format your Kappe writing.
Webinars involve a 20-30 minute lecture/presentation, 20-30 minutes of small group work relevant to your research, and 20-30 minutes of open discussion. An optional 30 minutes is available from 12:30-13:00 for answering further questions or more deeply discuss writing-related issues you face.
