University of Eastern Finland

University of Eastern Finland was established in 2010 from the previous Joensuu University and University of Kuopio. University of Eastern Finland is one of the largest universities in the country and has campuses in Joensuu, Kuopio and Savonlinna. Joensuu is far East in Finland and perfect for studying what Finland has enough of - forest!

About the agreement
The agreement covers Faculty of Forest Sciences, but also courses at other faculties. The agreement is both Nordplus and Erasmus.

Who can apply
All Erasmus and Nordplus students must complete 60 credits before the exchange semester starts.

Capacity
2 students per semester.

Language of teaching
Finnish and English.

Semester duration
Autumn semester: September - December.
Spring semester: January - May.

Tution fees
Erasmus and Nordplus students must register and pay the semester fee at UMB whilst on exchange, but do not pay any tuition fees at the partner university.
