Tampere University of Technology (TUT) is located in Tampere/Tammerfors, a city and municipality about 170 km north of Helsinki. Tampere is Finland's third largest city with about 223.000 inhabitants and 200 lakes. From being the first and largest industrial city in Finland in the 1820s, Tampere is now an important hub for information technology, research, education, culture, sports and business. TUT offers its students a broad and interdisciplinary education in an international environment.

About the agreement
The agreement covers engineering subjects, at both bachelor’s and master’s level.

Who can apply
For all agreements within the Erasmus program and Nordplus network it is necessary to have attained 60 credits on your current NMBU program before commencing on an exchange study abroad.

Number of study places
Two places for a year.

Language of teaching
Finnish and English.

Semester timing
Academic calendar.

Tuition fees
Erasmus and Nordplus students must continue to pay for NMBU’s semester fees, plus register with NMBU whilst they are on exchange. However, it is not necessary to pay any types of fee at the partner university.

Accommodation
The Student Welfare Organisation TOAS offers student rooms.
