The faculties therefore will employ more student assistants who will contribute to courses, SiÅs has hired student mentors who focus on social events, and the Learning Center and SiT will hire student hosts.
In this connection, the Learning Center and the Student Information Center (SiT) are looking for confident and sociable students with good study technical skills, who have a desire to help other students by sharing their own experiences and referring them to existing resources.

The job at the Learning Center involves management of the newly created digital study hall, by sharing your own experiences and informing students about available resources.
Relevant topics are:
- to work in groups
- project and thesis writing
- correct citing of sources
- critical reading
- advice on Zoom and Teams use
- literature search
SiT is especially looking for 3-5 yr students who are particularly interested in giving first-year students an extra boost. The job involves informing students about important study administrative tools and processes (studweb, canvas, webmail), through making informative introductory videos, arranging zoom meetings and answering questions by e-mail and telephone.
Zoom meetings can address topics such as:
- how to structure your everyday life in the best possible way
- what resources are available on campus
- how to find syllabi and earlier exams
- a digital coffee cup
As a student host, you will be part of a team consisting of other student hosts and permanent employees at SiT, the Learning Center and the University Library, respectively.
The position includes compulsory training, which runs over 4-5 evenings.
The employment period will be from the beginning of April until the end of June, a maximum of 8 hours per week.
Salary level is 29 (approx. NOK 170/hour)
