CERAD arranged two workshops within the EC TERRITORIES project

The objectives of the Workshops were

  1. to discuss the key factors contributing to overall uncertainties when linking deposition and ecosystem transfer to human and ecosystem radiological risk assessment models, obtaining feedback from modellers, experimentalists and stakeholders on this subject.
  2. to discuss the implications and relevance of uncertainties in radiological risk assessments for different stakeholders and how these uncertainties can be better communicated, obtaining feedback from regulators, industry, scientists and “public/social sciences” on this subject.

Participants were representing scientists, both modellers and experimentalists, regulators, industry and the public, giving high quality oral presentations and feeding good discussions in the group work. There will be written reports produced from the two workshops which will be made available early next year. For more information, see http://territories.eu/workshops.
