During the first part of the seminar, participants had chosen four important topics they wanted to address in depth:
- Health impacts of radiation
- Measurement capacities
- Roles and responsibilities of different actors
- Information and communication
These topics were addressed both in presentations and in in-depth discussions. Participants were very positive towards the seminars and expressed their wish to be involved in such initiatives in future. It increased the learning and networking among participants and increased the understanding of the challenges faced by Rogaland in case of radioactive fallout.
The results of the seminar will contribute to improved regional nuclear emergency preparedness.
