Professor Deborah Oughton, research director of the Center of excellence for Environmental Radioactivity (CERAD), was elected as a member of the Norwegian Academy of Science and Letters. The diploma was awarded on May 4th at the Annual Meeting of the DNVA at Grand Hotel in Oslo.
The Norwegian Academy of Science and Letters, founded in 1857, is a non-governmental, nationwide body, which embraces all fields of learning. Its main purpose is to support the advancement of science and scholarship in Norway.
The Academy has Norwegian and foreign members, as well as honorary members.
