30 years with radioactivity, people and environment at NMBU

The seminar will celebrate the scientific career of Prof. Salbu with a variety of talks from the field of radiochemistry, radioecology, environmental chemistry and radiation protection. Salbu has been at the university for 30 years.

Brit Salbu is dr. philos. from University of Oslo and professor in chemistry. She is now leading the Centre of Excellence – Centre for Environmental Radioactivity (CERAD) at the Norwegian University of Life Sciences (NMBU).

Salbu is an engaged researcher in environmental chemistry and radioecology and has been a head of the Isotope laboratory at NMBU since 1987, where she has built a research group with wide international network. She has been leading NATO’s Environmental Security Panel, is a member of the Norwegian Academy of Science and Letters and a Fellow in the Royal Society of Chemistry, UK. Outside of the lab, she is a very eager golf player.
