Ståle Wig is a PhD fellow in anthropology, and teaches outreach and science journalism for bachelor, master and PhD students at the University of Oslo. He has substantial experience with editing and writing for a non-scholarly audience. Most recently, Wig published a book about the Labour Party´s leader, Jonas Gahr Støre (“Seierherren”, Kagge, 2014)
In his talk Wig will discuss the main challenges for an academic who wants to be understood by other than one's professor and co-researcher. Based on his experiences from journalism and science, he will give the participants two pieces of advice to help them become better communicators.
