Welcome to App Cities. This research project is undertaken by the Department of Urban and Regional Planning at the Norwegian University of Life Sciences (NMBU). The project is supported by the Norwegian Public Roads Administration and the Viken county.
The study focuses on neighborhoods, urban spaces, daily travel, the use (or non-use) of new urban technologies, and how all these influence quality of life over time.
Participants in this research study are adult residents of various neighborhoods within Oslo and Viken counties.

Velkommen til App Cities. Forskningsprosjektet gjennomføres av Institutt for by- og regionalplanlegging ved Norges miljø- og biovitenskapelige universitet (NMBU). Prosjektet støttes av Statens vegvesen og Viken fylkeskommune.
Hensikten med prosjektet er å undersøke hvordan ulike sider ved livskvalitet endrer seg over tid i Oslo og Viken.
Prosjektet fokuserer på nabolag, byrom, daglig reise, bruk (eller ikke-bruk) av nye teknologier, og hvordan alle disse påvirker livskvaliteten over tid.

A new publication from the App Cities project came out. The article "Autonomous buses: Intentions to use, passenger experiences, and suggestions for improvement" was published in the journal Transportation Research Part F: Traffic Psychology and Behaviour.
