RSA Small Grant Scheme on Pandemics, Cities, Regions and Industry

Congrats to the Action Chair Ilaria Mariotti and WG member Dante Di Matteo (PhD Politecnico di Milano) for this great achievement! Theyhave received this gran the ‘RSA Small Grant Scheme on Pandemics, Cities, Regions and Industry’.

This grant will allow them to develop a pilot study about coworking space in Lombardy region, which may be replicated at the national and international scale, with a focus on peripheral/suburban areas. New Working Spaces

The COST Action CA18214 'The geography of New Working Spaces and the impact on the periphery' focuses on i) sharing the scientific outcomes on new working spaces (definitions, typologies and geographical distributions) ii) comparing the best practices and direct and indirect impacts with a particular focus on the periphery iii) sharing the policy tools across the countries.

The CA18214 provides a interdisciplinary perspective on New Working Spaces which are classified as follows: i) collaborative and creative working spaces (coworking spacesand smart work centres); (ii) makerspaces and other technical spaces (fablabs, open workshops); (iii) other new working spaces (hackerspaces, Living Lab and corporate labs); (iv) informal new working spaces (coffee shops and libraries).
