Developing energy systems that are flexible enough to withstand high levels of renewable power

About the research group

We focus on renewable energy systems. How can energy production be made more climate-friendly but at the same time profitable? How do we develop energy systems that are flexible enough to withstand high levels of renewable power? Our research includes:

  • Political, economic and technological instruments for the development of renewable energy
  • Impact of large-scale development of renewable energy in Europe
  • The role of bioenergy in the future energy system
  • Flexible interaction between the power and heat sectors
  • Economic outlook for the energy and forest sector
