Techniques used

• Genetic modification of bacteria: cloning, transformation, mutagenesis, gene depletion with CRISPR interference

• Cultivation of bacteria and antimicrobial sensitivity testing

• Genetic screens

• Protein biochemistry techniques, including SDSPAGE, Western-blot, protein purification

• Microscopy, including fluorescence microscopy, time-lapse microscopy, electron microscopy

• Gene expression reporter assays, including betagalactosidase, luciferase and fluorescence

• Biofilm assays
