About the faculty

The Faculty of Veterinary Medicine is Norway's only veterinary educational institution and provides expertise in veterinary medicine and veterinary population medicine. The faculty educates veterinarians, veterinary nurses and doctoral students in Veterinary Science and researches veterinary medicine and related biomedical disciplines. We have 500 students and 430 employees.

The faculty consists of these departments:
Department of Preclinical Sciences and Pathology,
Department of Paraclinical Sciences,
Department of Production Animal Clinical Sciences
and Departement of Companion Animal Clinical Sciences.
We also run the Animal Hospital, which is closely linked to our research and education, and receive patients from all over the country.
