New professor in forest economics and policy

Kallio holds a Ph.D. from Helsinki school of Economics (now part of Aalto University) majoring in management science. Her doctoral thesis was titled “Studies on competition in the Finnish wood market”.

During her career, she has done research and published on wide range of topics related to forest sector analysis and modeling, and worked in several projects giving science-based support for policymaking. She is a member of the editorial board in Journal of Forest Economics and the coordinator of research group “Forest Sector Analysis” at the IUFRO.

Before NMBU, she worked at Natural Resources Institute Finland, Luke.
