Spring 2017 LED- landscape education for democracy online seminar


This is Deni Ruggeri, associate professor of landscape architecture at the Norwegian University of Life Sciences and coordinator of the Erasmus Plus LED - Landscape Education for Democracy project. The project is a partnership between 5 European landscape architecture faculties and the LE:NOTRE Institute to promote awareness and empower young design and planning professionals to become more active in shaping democratic change.

Currently under preparation a volume on Landscape Democracy edited by Shelley Egoz, Deni Ruggeri and Karsten Jørgensen, to be published by Edward Elgar Publishing this year.

Alessia De Nardi

CLaD Visiting Scholar Alessia De Nardi

Alessia holds a PhD in “Uomo e Ambiente” (“Human and Environment”) from Padova University. Her main interest is in landscape perception, in particular the role of landscape in the construction of territorial ties. Alessia has focused on first and second generation immigrants’ experiences.


The Centre for Landscape Democracy (CLaD) is a cross-disciplinary international centre for the creation and dissemination of scientific knowledge, creative interpretations and innovative solutions within the theme of Landscape Democracy.
