- I work in the section of economic regulation. Here I use a lot of what I have learned from the studies. We are dealing with theoretical issues surrounding the regulation of monopolies, such as, for example, asymmetric information and incentives.

In addition, we use a lot of statistical analysis in tasks to develop and use models to compare companies, in order to evaluate the grid companies' use of resources in relation to their tasks.

Regulates network companies Hilde Marit task is to regulate network companies. - The network companies are the one that are refered to as natural monopolies in microeconomics. We are working with the set up of the annual income limits for each of the network companies, we develop the regulation model and control the companies' financial and technical reporting.

Friends recommended studying economics - I knew someone who studied economics in Ås and recommended the studies to me. In addition, I took a basic course in Development Studies before I came to Ås, where I also met people who recommended programme in Economics at NMBU.

She recommends all future students to enjoy their time as a student. - Read the course material, join study groups and engage in the social life of the community!
