The seminar was opened by the leader of NCUA, Trine Hvoslef-Eide who gave an update on what has happened since the previous seminar. Notably, the centre is now involved in a consortium writing a project proposal for a Horizon2020 call for a "Comprehensive vision for urban agriculture."
The main content of the seminar was centered around the EU-project SiEUGreen. The project coordinator Petter D. Jenssen presented the project and the context of urban agriculture. In Norway the project includes creating a real-life showcase for a circular appartment building in Fredrikstad where technologies for recylcing resources on site will be tested. This includes source seperation of wastewater, which was the topic of Melesse Eshetu Mogens' presentation. He has been working on ways of recovering resources from wastewater to be used as efficiently as possible.
