  • Concert with Julie&Andreas, Christmas tango. Wednesday 14 December at 12.15 in the Veterinary Building.

Breathing Space / Pusterom is a series of events that we hope gives an inspiring break from everyday study and work. We invite you to music and small lectures from students and staff from NMBU, but also others. In autumn 2022, we have received support from the Welfare Committee at NMBU for this series of events.

Science Talks 

  • PechaKucha: Gender equality, diversity, and sustainability – what is the connection? PechaKucha with NMBU researchers. Wednesday 28 September at 11.30 in the Veterinary Building

The following Science Talks are held in Norwegian:

  • Ticks and climate change, with Professor Snorre Stuen (NMBU). Wednesday 14 September at 12.15 in the Veterinary Building.
  • Sense and science of artificial meat. Gaute T. Einevoll (NMBU) talks with Sissel Beate Rønning (Matforsk). Recording of podcasts. Wednesday 9 November at 12.15 in the Veterinary Building.
  • Forests and biological diversity, locally and nationally, by Jørund Rolstad (NIBIO) and Jørn Lileng (Follo agricultural office). Wednesday 23 November at 12.15 in the Veterinary Building.

Science Talks / Fagprat is a series of events where the library wants to convey research and other activities related to NMBU, to sustainability and innovation, in a more popular science way.

In addition, there will be regular meetings in the NMBU Research Ethics Forum (in English) in the Veterinærbygningen, at the Innsikten, and regular Statistics knitting meetings with Kathrine Frey Frøslie (NMBU), at the University Library at Sørhellinga (In Norwegian)

In collaboration with the Writing Centre, the University Library also organizes a Knowledge Breakfast and Social Study Lab throughout the autumn. Here you can get help with referencing, writing and study techniques.

The university library aims to be an academic and social meeting place for students, staff and others. All our events are free and open to everyone. Welcome!
